I live at Number 2 Grants Cottage and have photos for you. Send me your email address and I will send them to you direct. You will probably remember Connie Selmes, Eva's neighbour, she still lives at number 1. What is your surname and I will ask Connie if she remembers your mother.

Hi,
During the war my Mother was evacuated to Brightling and stayed with a couple called Bert and Eva at No2? Grants Cottages. We visited them many times in the 60's and 70's but never managed to get a picture of the place, can anyone help?
Many thanks,
Barry

Does anyone know whether the Long House(s) of Brightling still exists? Used to be part of Jack Fuller's estate near the Brickworks. Many bricklayers used to live in the Long House(s). Now I believe it may be part of "Brightling Park," a horse racing estate.
